Nurse – Homecare

Job Summary:

The Registered Nurse – Homecare provides specialized nursing care to patients in theirhomes, in accordance with approved nursing standards and physician instructions. The role involves patient assessment, medication administration, assistance with medical procedures, documentation, patient education, and ensuring safe, high-quality, and confidential care delivery.

Key Responsibilities:

 Provide direct patient care, including assessment, monitoring, and reassessment

 Ensure patient identification, consent, privacy, and confidentiality at all times

 Administer medications safely following nursing rights and protocols

 Assist physicians during examinations and procedures as required

 Observe and report changes in patient condition to the treating physician

 Perform nursing procedures and respond calmly and effectively during emergencies

 Educate patients and families based on identified care needs

 Maintain accurate and complete medical records and documentation

 Ensure infection control practices and safe handling/storage of medications

 Maintain adequate supplies, equipment, and unit inventory

 Ensure effective handover and clear communication within the care team

 Participate in quality improvement, training, and compliance activities

 Adhere to organizational policies, code of conduct, and confidentiality standards

Experience & Skills:

 Minimum 2 years of experience in homecare or a similar nursing role

 Strong communication, problem-solving, and critical-thinking skills

 Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment

 Team player with strong time management and multitasking abilities

 Basic computer proficiency (MS Word & Excel)

Education & Licensure:

 BSc Nursing & Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification

 Valid QCHP license or Eligibility (Prometric & Dataflow
