Responsibilities:

You will provide management oversight for all nursing staff development/education programs, ensure staff competency, meet regulatory compliance, and maintain high quality clinical practice. You will also be responsible to manage orientation, ongoing education, simulation, and professional development initiatives for nursing staff.

In addition, you will also serve as the nursing lead for Electronic Health Records (EHR) training, workflow optimization, and change management, including to coordinate for system upgrades, support digital documentation practices, and collaborate with clinical informatics to enhance usability and patient care outcomes.

Specific responsibilities include:

  • conducting needs assessments to determine learning and development requirements based on projected competencies, organizational changes, and divisional goals
  • supervising International Training Center (ITC) activities and liaise with the American Heart Association (AHA) for reaccreditation
  • devising strategies for promoting professional growth and development of nursing staff
  • evaluating departmental/divisional educational activities on an ongoing-basis to keep pace with changes and trends in Nursing Services
  • planning, organizing and offering orientation programmes and in-house training courses in collaboration with HR and nursing management team
  • maintaining and monitoring online credentials of all staff of the Division of Nursing Services.

Requirements:

You should have:

  • Baccalaureate degree in Nursing from any reputed university / Institute and current registration from Pakistan Nursing & Midwifery Council (PNMC), preferably a Master’s degree in the same
  • Certification in Basic Life Support Instructor, ACLS, PALS, NRP Instructor, Clinical Simulation Educators Programme, leadership and management/nursing informatics training (seminars, workshops, courses), project management etc.
  • at least ten years of nursing experience, including five years of nursing management experience – of which at least two years of experience at the level of Assistant Manager, Head Nurse, Clinical Nurse Specialist or equivalent
  • demonstrate knowledge through direct experience of learning concepts, training, development methods and techniques.
  • ability to perform and interpret needs analyses and translate findings into actionable steps
  • experience in project management and training facilitation, including command on adult learning principles and instructional design
  • ability to work under pressure and meet stringent deadlines
  • ability to effectively work in teams as well as independently and amicably solve complex problems
  • Proficiency in the use of computers applications, particularly MS Office.
  • willingness for national and international travel as per needs.
