Nurse Manager of Surgical Services

Heartline Staffing, Strategic Talent Partners with Purple Cow Recruiting, is seeking an experienced Nurse Manager of Surgical Services for a full-time, permanent opportunity in Arlington, Texas.

This role is responsible for assuring the delivery of professional nursing care within the Operating Room by assessing, planning, organizing, directing, and evaluating nursing care provided to all surgical patients. The Nurse Manager of Surgical Services works collaboratively with leadership, educators, and multidisciplinary teams to support clinical excellence, staff development, and operational effectiveness within the surgical department.

Job Responsibilities:

• Assure delivery of professional nursing care for all surgery patients within the Operating Room
• Assess, plan, organize, direct, and evaluate nursing care services
• Collaborate with the OR Educator on education and training for all department staff, both initially and ongoing
• Develop staff through department-specific needs assessments
• Establish goals and objectives, including implementation methods and evaluation measures
• Develop, maintain, and interpret departmental policies and procedures
• Maintain fiscal responsibility for the department
• Act as liaison between OR staff, administration, medical staff, and other hospital departments
• Participate in performance appraisals in collaboration with clinical unit leadership
• Attend and participate in facility management team meetings
• Collaborate with director, administration, finance, and unit leadership on operating and capital budget processes

Shift Details:

• Full-Time
• Mixed shifts
• Rotating weekends

Compensation:

• Salary Range: $84,843.20 – $127,275.20 (Based on years of experience)
• Sign-On Bonus: $15,000
• Relocation Assistance: Case by case basis

Requirements:

Education & Licensure:

• Bachelor’s degree required
• Current Texas RN license or active compact state RN license required
• Current BLS (AHA or American Red Cross) required

Experience:

• Minimum of 2 years of acute care Operating Room leadership experience
• Minimum of 5 years of RN staff-level Operating Room experience
• Strong clinical knowledge in surgical nursing required

Preferred:

• CNOR certification preferred
