Nurse Manager RN – Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU)

Heartline Staffing, Strategic Talent Partners with Purple Cow Recruiting, is seeking an experienced Nurse Manager RN for the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) to support a high-acuity Women’s Services program in Houston, Texas.

The Nurse Manager of NICU is responsible for supporting the Director with all departmental activities to ensure coordinated, high-quality, patient-centered care aligned with the facility’s mission, vision, and values. This leader assists with operational oversight, clinical support, performance improvement initiatives, and staff development while ensuring nursing care is delivered using evidence-based practices and the nursing process. The Nurse Manager provides direct clinical leadership, supports nursing staff, and assists with planning, implementing, and evaluating care delivered within the Women’s Services units.

Job Responsibilities:

• Assist the Director with daily department operations and long-term strategic planning
• Coordinate departmental participation in Performance Improvement and Quality initiatives
• Ensure nursing care is delivered using the nursing process and evaluated for effectiveness
• Provide ongoing clinical support and leadership to NICU nursing staff
• Assist in planning, implementing, and evaluating patient care within Women’s Services
• Support staff development, engagement, and delivery of safe, high-quality care

Compensation & Benefits:

• Salary Range: $40 – $58 per hour (heavily based on years of experience)
• Sign-On Bonus: $20,000 for Nights and Evenings
• Relocation Assistance: Case by case
• Shift: Evenings (3:00 PM – 11:00 PM) with rotating weekends and on-call responsibilities

Requirements:

• 2+ years of RECENT (within the last year) acute care NICU leadership experience (Manager or Charge Nurse) required
• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) required
• Current Registered Nurse license in the State of Texas or Compact RN license
• RN Compact License holders must obtain Texas RN license within 60 days of hire
• Current American Heart Association (AHA) BLS certification required
