Responsibilities :
- Utilize clinical, administrative, research and educational standards to facilitate the appropriate care of orthopedic patients including the Medicare Comprehensive Care of Joint Replacement (CJR) patients.
- Serve as a patient advocate and as a liaison to patients, physicians and other hospital departments.
- Assist in the development and growth of our total joint programs.
- Promote interdisciplinary collaboration and team work to achieve optimal clinical and resource outcomes within effective time frames.
- Maintain positive relationships with the surgery department, physician office staff, and surgeons.
- Develop, maintain, teach, and evaluate the pre-op joint classes.
- Participate in improving efficiencies with pre-admit testing, day hospital and physician office patient flows.
- Track quality improvement outcomes and trends for gaps or opportunities.
- Develop relationships with post-acute providers to ensure improved patient care after discharge.
- Perform other tasks, duties or responsibilities as assigned or needed for the effective, safe and efficient functioning and operation of the hospital.
Utilize lean methodology for continuous quality improvement.

Qualifications / Requirements :
- Graduate from an accredited registered nurse program.
License / Certifications:
- Active Registered Nursing License verified by the LLR
- BLS Certification

- Full-time, 80 hours bi-weekly
