Nurse Practitioner

Job Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and compassionate Nurse Practitioner to join our healthcare team, delivering high-quality patient care across diverse clinical settings. Duties

  • Conduct thorough patient assessments, including vital signs, physical examinations, and detailed medical histories to inform diagnosis and treatment plans
  • Manage acute and chronic conditions across various specialties such as gastroenterology, geriatrics, behavioral health, and emergency medicine
  • Administer injections, including immunizations and dermal fillers, perform suturing, IV infusions, catheterizations, and other invasive procedures with precision and sterile technique
  • Utilize electronic health record (EHR) systems like Epic, Cerner, or eClinicalWorks for accurate documentation of patient encounters and medical records
  • Provide telehealth consultations to expand access to care while maintaining high standards of clinical quality and HIPAA compliance
  • Assist in diagnostic evaluations using sonography or laboratory specimen collection/processing as needed
  • Support case management efforts by coordinating discharge planning, post-acute care, or home health services for complex patients
  • Engage in clinical research initiatives or quality improvement projects to enhance patient outcomes and operational efficiency
  • Educate patients on disease prevention, medication administration, nutrition, and lifestyle modifications to promote long-term wellness

Requirements

  • Valid Nurse Practitioner license with current certification in your practicing state or jurisdiction
  • Proven experience in critical care settings such as ICU or Level I Trauma Centers is highly desirable
  • Strong background in medical-surgical nursing, emergency medicine, or hospital medicine with familiarity in acute pain management and airway management techniques
  • Proficiency with EMR/EHR systems including Epic, Cerner, Athenahealth or similar platforms for seamless documentation
  • Experience working with diverse populations including pediatrics, geriatrics, assisted living residents, individuals with developmental disabilities or memory care needs
  • Knowledge of CPT coding (Current Procedural Terminology), ICD-9/10 coding systems for accurate billing and documentation
  • Skilled in performing procedures such as spinal taps, gastrostomy tube feeding management, phlebotomy, venipuncture and sterile processing techniques
  • Ability to work effectively in fast-paced environments like urgent care clinics or emergency rooms while maintaining attention to detail and patient safety standards
  • Familiarity with Workers’ Compensation law and hospice & palliative medicine practices is a plus
  • Excellent communication skills for triage assessments, patient education sessions, and interdisciplinary collaboration
  • Commitment to ongoing professional development through participation in clinical research or specialty training such as esthetic laser treatments or dermatology procedures
