Job Summary

Duties
- Conduct thorough patient assessments, including vital signs, physical examinations, and medical history reviews.
- Diagnose illnesses and develop personalized treatment plans aligned with best practices and clinical guidelines.
- Administer medications and injections, including IV infusions and botulinum toxin treatments for aesthetic or therapeutic purposes.
- Perform procedures such as suturing, catheterizations, spinal taps, and sterile processing techniques with precision and adherence to aseptic techniques.
- Manage patient care across various settings including emergency rooms, inpatient units, outpatient clinics, assisted living facilities, nursing homes, hospice & palliative care environments, and telehealth platforms.
- Coordinate diagnostic evaluations utilizing medical imaging, sonography, laboratory testing (including specimen collection/processing), and interpret results using ICD-10/ICD-9 coding standards.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams on discharge planning, case management, utilization review, and health coaching to optimize patient outcomes.
Skills
- Extensive experience with EMR/EHR systems such as Epic, Cerner, eClinicalWorks, and Athenahealth for accurate medical documentation.
- Proficiency in managing complex cases involving acute pain management, infectious disease care, geriatrics, pediatric care (including neonatal ventilator management), and behavioral health.
- Skilled in performing advanced procedures including dermal fillers, airway management, cardiac catheterization preparation, tube feeding management, and venipuncture.
- Strong knowledge of physiology and anatomy to support diagnostic evaluation and treatment planning across diverse patient populations.
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively in high-pressure environments such as Level I Trauma Centers or Level II trauma centers with ICU experience or emergency medicine backgrounds.
- Familiarity with CPT coding for billing purposes as well as Workers' Compensation law compliance when managing injury-related cases.
- Experience in telehealth delivery models ensuring seamless virtual patient assessments and follow-up care.
- Excellent communication skills for patient education on topics like family planning or nutrition; capable of working with individuals with developmental disabilities or dementia care needs.
