Job Summary
We are seeking a dynamic and compassionate Nurse Practitioner, Women's Health Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to join our healthcare team, delivering exceptional patient-centered care across diverse clinical settings. Duties
- Conduct thorough patient assessments, including vital signs, physical examinations, and detailed medical histories to inform, diagnose and treat Obstetric and Gyn patients.
- Manage acute, chronic female conditions and pregnancies utilizing evidence-based practices, including medication administration and natural and hormonal therapy,
- Perform specialized procedures such ablations, colposcopies, leeps, tag removals and other treatments while maintaining strict sterile techniques.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop individualized care plans for patients across outpatient clinics, inpatient units, nursing homes, assisted living facilities, and home care settings.
- Utilize electronic health record (EHR) systems like Epic, Cerner, eClinicalWorks, and Athenahealth for accurate documentation of patient encounters and medical records.
- Provide triage services via in-person consultations to prioritize urgent cases and coordinate timely interventions.
- Engage in clinical research projects or quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient outcomes and uphold NCQA standards.
- Educate patients on health management strategies including nutrition, medication adherence, pain management techniques, and health coaching.
- Assist with discharge planning, case management, utilization review, and working within commercial, military and Medicare frameworks when applicable.
- Support infection control protocols and participate in laboratory specimen collection/processing as needed.
Qualifications
- Valid Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assiss license with current certification in advanced practice nursing.
- Demonstrated experience with Athena EMR systems or similar EHR platforms such as EPIC or eClinicalWorks.
- Strong clinical skills including suturing, ultrasound, IUD insertion, catheter care, and sterile processing techniques.
- Experience working across multiple specialties of Obstetrical and Gynecological medicine, internal medicine, or critical care and high risk labor and delivery environments .
- Proficiency in diagnostic evaluation using ICD-10 coding systems; CPT coding knowledge is a plus.
- Familiarity with telehealth platforms for remote patient assessments.
- Knowledge of physiology principles relevant to fetal and maternal assessments.
- Ability to work effectively with diverse populations including patients with language disabilities or those requiring mental care or depression support.
- Prior experience in hospital medicine or post-acute care settings is a plus.
- Excellent patient care skills combined with strong communication abilities; capable of working under pressure in acute pain management or emergency situations. Pay: $90,000.00 - $120,000.00 per year
