Nurse Practitioner

Job Summary
We are seeking a dynamic and compassionate Nurse Practitioner to join our healthcare team, dedicated to delivering exceptional patient care across diverse clinical settings. In this role, you will serve as a vital healthcare provider, performing comprehensive assessments, diagnosing conditions, developing treatment plans, and managing patient care with a focus on improving health outcomes. Your expertise will support a wide range of medical services, including acute and chronic care, specialty treatments, and preventive health initiatives. Responsibilities

  • Conduct thorough physical examinations and patient assessments to establish accurate diagnoses.
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans in collaboration with patients and healthcare teams.
  • Administer medications, including injections and following established protocols and safety standards.
  • Manage patient care across various settings including inpatient units, outpatient clinics, emergency rooms, and telehealth platforms.
  • Utilize electronic health record (EHR) systems for documentation and medical records management.
  • Coordinate with specialists for diagnostic evaluations like sonography or medical imaging and participate in clinical research projects to advance evidence-based practices.
  • Provide education on health coaching, disease management, nutrition, family planning, and post-acute discharge planning.
  • Engage in triage activities to prioritize urgent cases in emergency medicine or urgent care environments.
  • Ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations while maintaining accurate medical documentation and coding using CPT, ICD-10/ICD-9 standards.

Skills

  • Proven experience working with diverse patient populations including pediatrics, geriatrics, behavioral health, hospice & palliative medicine, and individuals with developmental disabilities or dementia care needs.
  • Strong proficiency in EMR/EHR systems familiarity with medical imaging and laboratory experience is a plus.
  • Expertise in performing procedures like suturing, phlebotomy, venipuncture, catheter care, sterile processing techniques, and airway management.
  • Knowledge of acute pain management strategies and infectious disease care protocols.
  • Skilled in medication administration including injections and IV insertions; experienced in CPT coding for billing purposes.
  • Excellent communication skills for patient education and case management; adept at working within multidisciplinary teams across outpatient or inpatient settings.
  • Familiarity with Workers' Compensation law and utilization review processes; experience with telehealth services is advantageous.

Pay: $127,000.00 - $147,680.00 per year
