Nurse Practitioner

Job Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and compassionate Nurse Practitioner to join our multidisciplinary healthcare team. In this role, you will deliver high-quality, patient-centered care across a variety of clinical settings, including outpatient clinics, inpatient units, and specialized care environments. Duties

  • Conduct thorough physical examinations and detailed patient assessments to determine health status and identify medical conditions.
  • Manage acute and chronic illnesses by developing personalized treatment plans, prescribing medications, and monitoring patient progress.
  • Perform advanced procedures such as suturing, IV infusion, catheterization, spinal taps, and dermal fillers with precision and adherence to sterile techniques.
  • Utilize electronic health record (EHR) systems like Epic, Cerner, eClinicalWorks, or Athenahealth for accurate documentation of patient encounters and medical records.
  • Provide specialized care in areas such as gastroenterology, geriatrics, behavioral health, hospice & palliative medicine, or emergency medicine based on your expertise.
  • Assist with diagnostic evaluations using laboratory testing, sonography, medical imaging, or diagnostic evaluation tools to inform clinical decisions.
  • Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals in case management, discharge planning, utilization review, and telehealth services to ensure comprehensive patient care.
  • Engage in patient education and health coaching to promote wellness initiatives and support lifestyle modifications.
  • Maintain compliance with HIPAA regulations and infection control protocols while delivering safe and effective care in various settings including assisted living facilities, nursing homes, hospitals, or outpatient clinics.

Experience

  • Proven experience as a Nurse Practitioner in internal medicine or family medicine or urgent care or hospital medicine or specialty medicine as outpatient or inpatient
  • Demonstrated proficiency with EMR/EHR systems including eClinical works, Epic, Cerner, Athenahealth or similar platforms for medical documentation.
  • Extensive hands-on experience performing physicals, Chronic care management, remote patient monitoring, DOT physicals, IM and SC injections, PAP smear, Gynecology exams
  • Strong background in managing complex cases involving acute pain management, infectious disease care, occupational health issues or post-acute care scenarios.
  • Familiarity with CPT coding (Current Procedural Terminology), ICD-9/10 coding systems for accurate billing and documentation purposes.
  • Experience working with special populations such as pediatrics and geriatrics requiring dementia or Alzheimer’s care.
  • Knowledge of Workers' Compensation law and utilization management processes to coordinate care effectively across different healthcare settings.

Pay: $120,000.00 - $150,000.00 per year
