Celebration Health & Wellness is seeking a compassionate, detail-oriented Nurse Practitioner to join our busy and caring Pediatrics team in our Celebration, FL office.

Job SummaryNurse Practitioner – Pediatrics provides comprehensive primary and preventive healthcare services to pediatric patients under indirect supervision and in collaboration with physicians and interdisciplinary care teams. This role delivers patient‑centered, evidence‑based care through assessment, diagnosis, treatment, and education, while supporting efficient clinic operations and a positive patient and family experience.The Nurse Practitioner practices within established clinical protocols, regulatory standards, and scope of practice, contributing to high‑quality outcomes in a fast‑paced pediatric practice environment.Job Responsibilities

  • Provide direct patient care to pediatric patients, including health assessments, medical histories, physical examinations, diagnosis, and treatment of acute and chronic conditions.

  • Manage routine, minor, and acute pediatric illnesses and conditions, utilizing a systematic and evidence‑based approach to assessment and care planning.

  • Develop, implement, and evaluate individualized plans of care, ensuring appropriate follow‑up and continuity of care in accordance with pediatric practice protocols.

  • Provide patient and family education, counseling, and anticipatory guidance to support health promotion, disease prevention, and treatment adherence.

  • Order, interpret, and follow up on diagnostic tests, laboratory studies, and screenings within scope of practice.

  • Collaborate closely with physicians, nurses, and clinical staff to coordinate care, escalate concerns appropriately, and support efficient patient flow.

  • Triage and refer patients for specialty care or higher levels of care based on clinical presentation and severity.

  • Maintain timely, accurate, and complete documentation of all patient encounters in the electronic medical record, in compliance with legal, regulatory, and organizational standards.

  • Demonstrate sensitivity to patient and family needs, rights, and cultural considerations, always maintaining professionalism and compassion.

  • Adhere to established safety, infection control, and risk management policies, including OSHA and HIPAA requirements.

  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives, clinical audits, and utilization review activities as assigned.

  • Engage in continuing education and professional development to maintain clinical competency and stay current with pediatric best practices.

  • Support clinic operations by adapting to fluctuations in patient volume, acuity, and operational demands while maintaining care quality.

  • Perform other related duties as assigned by practice leadership to support patient care and clinic objectives. 



Basic Qualifications & Interests (BQIs)

  • Graduate of an accredited school of nursing with completion of a Nurse Practitioner program.

  • Current, unrestricted Nurse Practitioner license and Registered Nurse license in the state of practice.

  • Current CPR/BLS certification (PALS preferred or as required by practice).

  • Demonstrated ability to practice within established clinical guidelines, protocols, and scope of practice.

  • Strong clinical assessment, critical thinking, and decision‑making skills.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with patients, families, and healthcare professionals.

  • Strong documentation and EMR proficiency.

  • Ability to work collaboratively in a fast‑paced pediatric healthcare environment.

  • Commitment to patient safety, quality care, and professional standards.



Preferred Qualifications & Interests (PQIs)

  • Two or more years of pediatric clinical experience as a Nurse Practitioner or equivalent.

  • Experience working in an outpatient pediatric practice or similar setting.

  • Experience with EMR / electronic medical record systems.

  • Bilingual skills (English/Spanish) preferred.

  • Interest in quality improvement, patient education, and team‑based care models.



Physical Demands and Work Environment

  • Frequently required to stand, walk, and sit throughout the workday.

  • Continual use of hands and fingers for clinical tasks, documentation, and equipment operation.

  • Continual ability to communicate effectively with patients, families, and staff.

  • Continual use of visual acuity to read medical records, diagnostic information, and operate computer systems.

  • Occasional lifting, pushing, or carrying supplies or equipment up to 25 pounds.

  • Continual exposure to bloodborne and airborne pathogens and infectious materials consistent with a clinical healthcare environment.
