Nurse Practitioner

Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled Nurse Practitioner to join our multidisciplinary healthcare team. This role offers an opportunity to provide advanced pain management services within a dynamic clinical setting, utilizing your expertise in acute and chronic pain, interventional procedures, and comprehensive patient care. The ideal candidate will possess extensive experience in various medical environments, with proficiency in EMR/EHR systems. A strong background in interventional pain medication management and procedures, along with knowledge of CPT coding and Workers' Compensation is highly desirable. This position emphasizes patient-centered care, clinical research involvement, and adherence to HIPAA standards.

Duties

  • Conduct thorough patient assessments including vital signs, physical examinations, and detailed medical histories focusing on pain management needs.
  • Develop and implement individualized pain management plans incorporating interventional procedures such as nerve blocks, epidural steroid injections, and more.
  • Perform diagnostic evaluations utilizing sonography, medical imaging, and laboratory testing to inform treatment strategies.
  • Manage acute pain episodes in a private practice setting
  • Coordinate care with specialists in ortho-surgery, neurosurgery, primary care, internal medicine, and more.
  • Document all patient interactions accurately within EMR/EHR systems while maintaining compliance with HIPAA regulations.
  • Educate patients on pain management options, medication administration including CPT coding for billing purposes, and health coaching for lifestyle modifications.
  • Participate in clinical research projects related to pain management innovations or new interventional techniques.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams on discharge planning, utilization review, case management, and telehealth services to optimize patient outcomes.

Requirements

  • Valid Nurse Practitioner license with certification
  • Proven experience in a private practice setting or hospital based setting
  • Proficiency with EMR/EHR systems
  • Knowledge of ICD-9/10 coding systems for accurate documentation and billing
  • Experience working with diverse populations such as geriatrics (memory care/dementia), surgical candidates, and more
  • Strong understanding of physiology and anatomy relevant to pain pathways; ability to perform diagnostic evaluation effectively.
  • Ability to work independently within a team-oriented environment while maintaining high standards of patient safety and infection control practices.
  • Excellent communication skills for patient education and interdisciplinary collaboration. Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: $110,000.00 - $120,000.00 per year
