We are seeking a dynamic and compassionate Nurse Practitioner to join our healthcare team, dedicated to delivering exceptional patient care across diverse clinical settings. Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough patient assessments, including vital signs, physical examinations, and medical history reviews.
- Diagnose acute and chronic conditions across multiple specialties such as internal medicine, geriatrics, pediatrics, and emergency medicine.
- Develop and implement personalized treatment plans, including medication administration, injections (e.g., botulinum toxin), suturing, and wound care.
- Manage patient care in various settings such as outpatient clinics, hospitals, nursing homes, assisted living facilities, and telehealth platforms.
- Perform advanced procedures including IV infusions, catheterizations, spinal taps, sonography, dermal fillers, and airway management.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams on discharge planning, case management, utilization review, and clinical research initiatives.
- Ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations by maintaining accurate medical documentation within EMR/EHR systems like Epic or Cerner.
Requirements
- Valid Nurse Practitioner license with current certification to practice independently.
- Proven experience in critical care environments such as ICU or Level I trauma centers is highly desirable.
- Strong background in medical office procedures including CPT coding (Current Procedural Terminology), ICD coding (International Classification of Diseases), and ICD-10/ICD-9 systems.
- Experience working with diverse patient populations including pediatrics, geriatrics, hospice & palliative care patients, and individuals with developmental disabilities or memory care needs.
- Proficiency with EMR/EHR systems such as Epic or Athenahealth; telehealth experience is a plus.
- Skilled in performing procedures like suturing, phlebotomy, venipuncture, sterile processing techniques, and basic life support certification.
- Knowledge of pharmacology for psychopharmacology management and infection control protocols.
- Ability to handle complex cases involving acute pain management, occupational health issues including Workers’ compensation law compliance, and post-acute care planning.
