Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant – Urgent Care

Ocala, FL | $65-$70 per Hour

StatMed Urgent Care is seeking a Board-Certified ARNP or Physician Assistant to join our Ocala team. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced provider who enjoys practicing independently while working alongside a highly skilled support staff in a fast-paced urgent care environment.

At StatMed, you'll see a wide variety of patient presentations, utilize advanced on-site diagnostics, and provide high-quality care that helps patients avoid unnecessary emergency room visits.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care in a busy urgent care setting
• Evaluate, diagnose, and treat a broad range of acute illnesses and injuries
• Order and interpret laboratory tests, EKGs, and X-rays
• Perform office procedures including suturing, splinting, incision and drainage, wound care, and other urgent care procedures
• Prescribe medications and develop treatment plans
• Collaborate with medical assistants, radiologic technologists, and front-office staff
• Document patient encounters accurately and efficiently within the EMR
• Deliver exceptional patient-centered care while maintaining efficient patient flow

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner program
• Current, active Florida license in good standing
• NCCPA certification (PA applicants)
• BLS and ACLS certification required
• Minimum one year of Urgent Care or Emergency Medicine experience required
• Comfortable working independently in a fast-paced clinical environment
• Strong clinical decision-making and procedural skills
• Experience with EMR systems

Compensation & Benefits

• $65.00 - $70.00 per hour
• Three 12-hour shifts per week or six 6-hour shifts per week
• No overnight shifts
