Job Title: Nurse Practitioner (Cardiology)

Location: Port Charlotte, Florida

Salary: Commensurate with Experience

Position Summary:

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Nurse Practitioner to join our growing cardiology practice in Port Charlotte, Florida. This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated NP with a strong clinical background and a passion for cardiovascular care. While cardiology experience is highly preferred, we welcome candidates with a strong foundation in internal or family medicine and a desire to specialize in cardiology.

Responsibilities:

• Conduct comprehensive assessments and physical exams
• Diagnose and manage acute and chronic cardiac conditions
• Order and interpret diagnostic tests including EKGs, echocardiograms, and lab results
• Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to provide coordinated care
• Educate patients on heart health, medication adherence, and lifestyle modifications
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date electronic medical records
• Participate in follow-up care, medication management, and preventive screenings

Qualifications:

• Current Nurse Practitioner license in the state of Florida (required)
• Certification as an NP by AANP or ANCC (required)
• DEA license (or eligibility to obtain)
• Cardiology experience highly preferred
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team
• EMR proficiency (experience with Intergy is a plus)
