Nurse Practitioner

Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and energetic Nurse Practitioner to join our dynamic healthcare team. In this vital role, you will provide comprehensive exams for patients involved in injuries from work and car accidents . Your expertise will help improve patient outcomes through advanced clinical assessment, diagnosis, treatment planning and referrals for imaging or to a specialist. Duties

  • Conduct thorough physical examinations and assess patient status using advanced physiology knowledge and diagnostic evaluation techniques.
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans, including medication administration and accessing referrals.
  • Manage acute pain cases
  • Utilize electronic health record (EHR) systems such as Epic or eClinicalWorks for accurate medical documentation, coding (ICD-10, CPT).
  • Collaborate with specialists in orthopedic surgeons, neurosurgeons and pain management to optimize comprehensive care delivery.

Experience

  • Proven experience as a Nurse Practitioner in various clinical settings such as hospital medicine, emergency medicine, ICU (Intensive Care Unit), or outpatient clinics.
  • Demonstrated proficiency with EMR/EHR systems like Epic or Athenahealth; experience with telehealth platforms is highly desirable.
  • Strong background in performing procedures including phlebotomy, sterile processing techniques, and trigger point or joint injections.
  • Critical care experience from Level I or Level II trauma centers or similar high-acuity environments is preferred.
  • Knowledge of CPT coding standards and workers' compensation law related to occupational health cases; familiarity with hospital protocols such as infection control and infection prevention strategies is essential.
  • Additional qualifications include training in basic life support (BLS), advanced cardiac life support (ACLS), airway management skills, and proficiency with medical imaging or laboratory testing procedures.
