Nurse Practitioner

As a nurse practitioner, you will be provided extensive training, guidance and support throughout. You will be supervised by supervising Physician, very good work environment with good pay salary and benefits. Somebody who is willing to work hard and willing to train would be the ideal candidate

Duties

  • Conduct thorough patient assessments, including physical examinations and vital signs, to determine health status and develop individualized care plans
  • Prescribe medications and treatment regimens in accordance with state regulations and collaborative practice agreements
  • Perform procedures such as suturing, IV insertion, catheterization, and dermal filler administration with precision and sterile technique
  • Manage acute pain, infectious diseases, and chronic conditions across various specialties including geriatrics, pediatrics, emergency medicine, and behavioral health
  • Utilize electronic health record (EHR) systems like Epic, Cerner, or eClinicalWorks for accurate documentation of medical records and patient interactions
  • Collaborate closely with physicians, specialists, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to coordinate patient care and ensure optimal outcomes
  • Participate in clinical research initiatives and contribute to quality improvement projects to advance healthcare practices

Requirements

  • Valid Nurse Practitioner license with current certification to practice independently or under collaborative agreements
  • Proven experience working in diverse clinical environments such as hospitals (Level I & II trauma centers), emergency rooms, ICU or critical care units, nursing homes, or outpatient clinics
  • Strong knowledge of medical terminology, physiology, ICD coding (ICD-9/10), CPT coding, and drug enforcement regulations (DEA) for prescribing controlled substances
  • Proficiency with EMR/EHR systems including Epic, Athenahealth, Cerner, or similar platforms; telehealth experience is highly valued
  • Demonstrated skills in patient assessment techniques such as venipuncture, phlebotomy, sterile processing, specimen collection/processing, and airway management
  • Experience managing complex cases involving trauma care, dialysis patients, hospice & palliative medicine or occupational health is preferred
  • Ability to perform advanced procedures like spinal taps or cardiac catheterization when applicable; familiarity with medical imaging techniques such as sonography is a plus
  • Excellent client communication skills with a focus on health coaching and patient education across age groups including pediatrics and seniors
  • Knowledge of HIPAA regulations ensuring confidentiality of medical records and sensitive information
  • Critical care experience including ICU or emergency room settings; experience working in high-acuity environments such as trauma centers or neonatal units is advantageous

Pay: $90,000.00 - $139,255.52 per year
