Nurse Practitioner - Central State Hospital

Job Description:

In accordance with an approved collaborative practice agreement: Provide inpatient psychiatric services to the patients of Central State Hospital including psychiatric assessment, daily medication management, discharge planning and working with the treatment team under the supervision of a physician, as well as attending to any emergency need throughout the entire hospital while on-call.

Requirements:

• Must hold an active Kentucky Advanced Practice Registered Nurse license.

• Be ANCC Board Certified (PMHNP).

• Have an active DEA.

• Have an up-to-date NPI.

• Have an up-to-date CAQH.

• Experience working with a clinical treatment team.

• Must have inpatient psychiatric experience.

• Must be a team player and have an excellent working relationship with co-workers.

• Work professionally with colleagues from outside organizations.

• Performs all tasks and responsibilities in a timely and efficient manner.

• Must have good communication skills.

Additional Information:

• Position is 40 hours per week (Monday through Friday), on-site inpatient coverage. No telehealth. No outpatient.

• One 12-hour shift per week (7a-7p) is required within the 40-hour week.

• Complete all mandated training timely.

• Hospital committees as assigned.
