Position Overview:
We are seeking a skilled, patient focused Nurse Practitioner (NP) to support our providers through a blend of in basket management, virtual clinical support, and face to face patient care. This role is ideal for an NP who enjoys teamwork, thrives in a fast paced clinical environment, and is comfortable supporting both virtual and in clinic workflows.

Job Description:
Clinical Support Patient Care
  • Providein‑person patient care, including assessments, diagnosis, treatment planning, and follow‑up.
  • Conductvirtual visits (triage, follow‑ups, chronic condition support, patient education).
  • Support patient access by managing urgent issues and communicating care plans clearly.
In‑Basket Management

  • Oversee provider in‑basket items including patient messages, medication refill requests, lab/test results, and care‑coordination tasks.
  • Respond to or route items appropriately to ensure timely, accurate resolution.
  • Escalate clinical concerns to supervising physicians when needed.
Care Coordination Communication

  • Collaborate closely with physicians, RNs, MAs, and administrative staff to ensure seamless patient care.
  • Maintain accurate, timely documentation in the EHR.
  • Participate in team huddles, quality initiatives, and workflow improvement efforts.
Qualifications

  • Current, unrestrictedNurse Practitioner license in the state of practice.
  • National board certification (FNP, AGNP, ANP, or specialty equivalent).
  • Minimum of 5 years of clinical NP experience.
  • Prior telehealth/virtual care experience a plus.
  • Strong communication skills and comfort managing high‑volume electronic in‑basket work.
  • Ability to prioritize, multitask, and work independently.

Organization Details
Sutter Lakeside Hospital is nestled in the beautiful mountain ranges of Lake County and is a 25-bed critical access hospital. The critical access designation by the federal government ensures access to healthcare services for residents of rural communities. Sutter Lakeside is the only trauma center and certified stroke center in Lake County and is accredited by The Joint Commission. Our clinicians provide the highest quality and most complete health care possible to the people in the communities we serve.

Pay Range is $175,489.60 to $254,446.40 / annual salary
The compensation range may vary based on the geographic location where the position is filled. Total compensation considers multiple factors, including, but not limited to a candidate’s experience, education, skills, licensure, certifications, departmental equity, training, and organizational needs. Base pay is only one component of Sutter Health’s comprehensive total rewards program. Eligible positions also include a comprehensive benefits package.
