Nurse Practitioner / Physician Assistant (Contract)

Location: Lower Manhattan, New York, NY 10286

Schedule: Monday – Thursday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM (1-hour meal break)

Contract Dates: October 6, 2025 – December 31, 2025 (13 weeks with possibility of extensions and/or perm employment)

About The Role

We are seeking an experienced Nurse Practitioner (NP) or Physician Assistant (PA) to provide direct patient care in a primary care/occupational health clinic located at a major corporate site in Lower Manhattan. This is a contract assignment offering consistent weekday hours in a professional and collaborative setting.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform physical exams and preventive health measures within clinical guidelines.
• Order, interpret and evaluate diagnostic tests.
• Document findings, develop care plans and provide home-going instructions.
• Collaborate with physicians and other clinicians to ensure comprehensive patient care.
• Prescribe or recommend medications, therapies and treatment plans.
• Refer patients to physicians or specialty providers as appropriate.
• Maintain accurate medical records using an EMR system.
• Educate and coach nursing staff on best practices.
  
  

Qualifications

• Education:
• Master’s degree (MSN) for NP, or Master’s degree for PA.
• Licensed as an NP or PA in New York State.
• National board certification required (Family/Adult NP or NCCPA).
• Certifications:
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification (AHA).
• Prescriptive authority per NY state regulations.
• Experience:
• Minimum 3 years of clinical experience in ambulatory care, occupational health, family practice or emergency medicine.
• Familiarity with workplace health & OSHA guidelines preferred.
