Nurse Practitioner (NP) – Correctional Facility

We are seeking an experienced and compassionate Nurse Practitioner (NP) to provide comprehensive primary and urgent care services in a correctional healthcare setting in Yuma, AZ. The NP will manage acute and chronic conditions, promote overall wellness, and play a key role in delivering equitable, quality healthcare to an underserved population.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct physical examinations, diagnose illnesses, and develop treatment plans.

  • Manage chronic health conditions in accordance with clinical guidelines and protocols.

  • Prescribe medications and treatments under state and facility regulations.

  • Collaborate with physicians, RNs, LPNs, and mental health professionals to coordinate patient care.

  • Provide patient education on disease prevention, medication adherence, and health maintenance.

  • Document medical history, assessments, and treatment plans accurately and promptly.

  • Participate in infection control, quality improvement, and staff training activities.

  • Respond to medical emergencies and perform procedures within the NP’s scope of practice.
