Location: Heart of the Rockies Regional Medical Center

Schedule: Full Time 32 hours per week

Position Summary

Heart of the Rockies Regional Medical Center (HRRMC) is seeking a compassionate and skilled Advanced Practice Provider (Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant) to join our General Surgery team in a clinic-only role. This position focuses exclusively on outpatient care—supporting pre-operative and post-operative visits, wound checks, and ongoing patient management

Requirements

Qualifications

• Current licensure as a Nurse Practitioner (NP) or Physician Assistant (PA) in the State of Colorado (or eligibility to obtain).
• Certification through an accredited national certifying body (AANP, ANCC, NCCPA, etc.).
• Minimum 1–2 years of surgical or related clinical experience preferred, but new graduates with strong clinical rotations in surgical care are encouraged to apply.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with a patient-centered approach to care.

What You’ll Do

• Provide comprehensive evaluation and management of general surgery patients in an outpatient setting.
• Conduct pre-op and post-op visits, wound assessments, and follow-up care under physician supervision.
• Collaborate with surgeons, nurses, and support staff to ensure continuity of care and excellent patient outcomes.
• Order and interpret diagnostic tests, prescribe medications, and educate patients and families on treatment plans.
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation within the electronic health record.
