Nurse Practitioner (NP) or Physician Assistant (PA)

Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated and motivated Nurse Practitioner (NP) or Physician Assistant (PA) to join our busy adult Gastroenterology practice in Burton, Michigan.

As an advanced practice provider, you will deliver evidence-based healthcare to adult patients in both office and hospital settings under physician supervision. You will play a dual role as both a healthcare provider and patient educator, helping promote disease prevention and healthy lifestyle practices.

Responsibilities

  • Perform comprehensive physical examinations and review medical histories
  • Order, interpret, and evaluate diagnostic tests (labs, imaging, etc.)
  • Diagnose and manage acute and chronic conditions
  • Develop and implement treatment plans
  • Prescribe medications as appropriate
  • Maintain accurate patient records and documentation
  • Educate patients and families regarding diagnoses, treatment plans, and prevention strategies
  • Monitor patient progress and adjust care plans accordingly
  • Promote preventive care and wellness practices
  • Collaborate closely with physicians and multidisciplinary healthcare teams
  • Participate in ongoing professional development and clinical education

Qualifications

  • Experience in one or more of the following specialties:
  • Acute Care
  • Internal Medicine
  • Gastroenterology
  • Hepatology
  • Surgery
  • Valid and active Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant license in the State of Michigan
  • Proven clinical experience in a hospital, clinic, ER, or similar healthcare setting
  • Strong knowledge of primary, acute, and chronic care practices
  • Understanding of healthcare regulations and patient care standards
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Strong ethics and professionalism
  • Team-oriented with a positive attitude
  • Patience, problem-solving skills, and strong clinical judgment
  • Commitment to ongoing learning and professional growth

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $90,000.00 - $120,000.00 per year
