Nurse Practitioner On Call

Essential Functions:


Key Responsibilities

  • Provide timely response to patient calls, telehealth consults, or facility requests during on-call hours.

  • Conduct assessments, develop treatment plans, and prescribe medications in accordance with state and federal regulations.

  • Collaborate with physicians, nursing staff, and interdisciplinary teams to coordinate patient care.

  • Evaluate and manage acute and chronic medical conditions as needed.

  • Document all encounters and communications accurately in the electronic health record (EHR) system.

  • Support emergency response and facilitate patient transfers or hospitalizations when clinically indicated.

  • Provide clinical guidance and support to nursing and ancillary staff during on-call shifts.

  • Maintain compliance with all regulatory standards, including HIPAA and infection control protocols.

Participate in ongoing professional development and training to ensure clinical competence

Experience and Education:

  • NP Degree from a College or University and two years related experience and/or training.
