Indiana University Health Medical Group is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Advanced Practice Provider (APP) to join our dynamic OB/GYN team at IU West Hospital in Avon, IN. In this inpatient and outpatient setting, you will work collaboratively with our physicians to provide comprehensive care to a diverse population of adolescents and women of all ages.
Position Details:
- Full-Time, Days
- Monday-Friday 8-hour days
- No weekends, holidays, or call
- 100% Outpatient
Procedures:
- Procedures include IUD insertions, Birth control implant insertions, endometrial biopsies, vulvar biopsies, Incision & drainage
Job Responsibilities:
- Patient Care: Conducting thorough assessments, diagnosing conditions, and developing treatment plans for OB/GYN patients
- Testing and Diagnostics: Ordering and interpreting diagnostic tests to inform patient care decisions
- Documentation: Accurately documenting patient encounters, treatment plans, and follow-up care in electronic medical records
- Education: Educating patients and their families about health conditions, treatment options, and preventative care.
- Follow-up: Providing follow-up care to monitor patient progress and adjust treatment plans as necessary
- Collaboration: Working closely with physician and collaborators and other healthcare professionals to ensure high-quality, coordinated care
Qualifications:
- Certified Nurse Practitioner (NP) with a focus on women's health or OB/GYN or Physician Assistant (PA) with OB/GYN outpatient experience
- At least 3 years of clinical APP experience working in Women's Health / OBGYN
- Preferably experience in OBGYN outpatient setting of family practice with gynecological experience
- New Grads- experience in labor and delivery is a plus
- Experience inserting IUD's and implants
- Active state licensure and certificate
- Strong clinical skills and experience in an OB/GYN setting
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Commitment to providing compassionate, patient centered care
