UPMC Cole Medical Group is seeking a Full-Time Advanced Practice Provider (PA or CRNP) to join our rural Primary Care team serving the Northern Potter and Westfield communities. This is a great opportunity to practice meaningful, relationship-based medicine in a 100% outpatient setting with a strong focus on continuity of care and community impact.

Schedule & Work-Life Balance

  • Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM
  • Rotating on-call schedule
  • No major holidays
  • No inpatient, hospital, or OR responsibilities

Compensation & Incentives

  • Competitive salary based on experience
  • Sign-on bonus available
  • Production incentive based on wRVU
  • Potential to earn 5% of base salary in quality & citizenship incentive
  • CME: 5 days & $3,000 annually
  • Generous time off - 46 working weeks/year; all other time is for PTO & UPMC observed holidays

What You’ll Do

  • Provide comprehensive primary care using evidence-based practice
  • Diagnose and treat acute and chronic conditions
  • Develop personalized care plans focused on quality outcomes and patient satisfaction
  • Educate patients and families to support long-term health
  • Collaborate with physicians and care teams to ensure coordinated care

What We’re Looking For

  • Physician Assistant or Certified Registered Nurse Practitioner
  • Strong clinical judgment and communication skills
  • Interest in rural health and community-focused care
  • Commitment to teamwork, professionalism, and patient-centered care

  • Knowledge of growth and development principles
  • Ability to provide age-appropriate patient care across the lifespan
  • Ability to assess patient data and deliver care per departmental policies
  • Strong interpersonal, critical thinking, and clinical judgment skills with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
  • Physical stamina and dexterity required for direct patient care
  • Successful attainment and maintenance of hospital privileges, where applicable.

Licensure, Education, Certifications, and Clearances:

  • Certified Registered Nurse Practitioner (CRNP)
    • Completion of an approved Nurse Practitioner program
    • BSN required; MSN preferred
    • Pennsylvania RN license and CRNP certification
    • National certification and eligibility for licensure and CRNP certification by the Pennsylvania State Board of Nursing
  • Physician Assistant (PA)
    • Graduation from an ARC‑PA–accredited Physician Assistant program
    • Bachelor’s or master’s degree preferred
    • Pennsylvania PA license and NCCPA certification
  • Required for All APP Candidates
    • CPR certification -
      • CPR required based on AHA standards that include both a didactic and skills demonstration component within 30 days of hire
    • Successful completion of Pennsylvania clearances:
      • Act 33
      • Act 34
      • Act 73
