Nurse Practitioner – Wellness / Cannabis Provider *NEW GRADS WELCOME*

Pay Structure:

• Starting at $57.00 per hour, with performance-based increases tied to patient outcomes and clinical contribution

Job description:

Empathetix Wellness is hiring two energetic nurse practitioners for our South Jordan clinic. Each provider will take two consistent days from the schedule below - day assignments will be finalized during the interview process based on your availability.

We started as Utah's first medical cannabis clinic, but we've revamped into a full-spectrum wellness clinic. GLPs, hormone optimization, ketamine treatment, peptides, neuro support, and ongoing wellness care are the heart of this role. Cannabis evaluations get patients in the door; wellness is how we actually change their lives.

If you see a cannabis evaluation as the start of a conversation about everything else a patient is struggling with - sleep, weight, pain, hormones, or mood, we want to talk to you.

Schedule (two providers, two days each):

• Monday | 10:00 AM – 7:00 PM (one-hour midday break)
• Wednesday | 12:00 PM – 6:00 PM
• Friday | 12:00 PM – 7:00 PM
• Saturday | 10:00 AM – 2:00 PM

Non-negotiables:

• One Saturday shift per month is required. These are most often at our Ogden clinic, but may be at any of our locations (Provo, South Jordan, Millcreek, Bountiful, and Ogden)
• You must be willing to cover shifts at other locations when needed - coverage may not be at the clinic you were hired for
• You will be expected to actively introduce, educate on, and drive wellness services with every patient. This is a core performance expectation, not a bonus activity. Compensation reviews are tied directly to it.

Responsibilities:

Wellness (primary focus):

• Conduct wellness consultations for weight loss, hormone therapy, ketamine, and peptide services
• Administer in-clinic treatments including IM injections and B12 shots
• Draw & review labs, build treatment plans, and manage ongoing patient care
• Identify wellness opportunities in every patient interaction and confidently guide patients into appropriate care

Medical Cannabis:

• Evaluate patients for eligibility and provide compliant recommendations under Utah state regulations
• Educate patients on safe and effective use
• Maintain accurate, compliant documentation

Requirements:

• Active, unrestricted Utah NP or PA license
• Utah RMP certification (or willingness to obtain)
• DEA license and Utah Controlled Substance License
• Comfortable administering injections independently (or willing to learn quickly)
• Reliable transportation and willingness to travel between clinic locations
• Strong communication skills and genuine enthusiasm for wellness medicine
