NURSE PRACTITIONER – WOMEN’S HEALTH

Job Summary
Advanced Obstetrics & Gynecology, LLC, a private OB/GYN practice located in Hunterdon and Somerset Counties, is seeking a compassionate and skilled Women’s Health Nurse Practitioner (WHNP) or Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP) to join our busy and growing team.


This position offers a rewarding balance of outpatient care and inpatient rounding. The ideal candidate will provide comprehensive reproductive and gynecologic care, manage low-risk prenatal patients, and support our inpatient population. We are looking for a collaborative, team-oriented professional who is motivated to grow within the practice.


Key Responsibilities

1. Outpatient Clinical Care

  • Perform annual well-woman exams, Pap smears, and breast exams
  • Provide comprehensive prenatal and postnatal care
  • Evaluate and manage gynecologic conditions (e.g., infections, contraception, menopause management)
  • Perform minor office procedures (e.g., IUD placement/removal, endometrial biopsy)

2. Inpatient Rounding

  • Round on postpartum and post-operative gynecologic patients
  • Assess patient recovery, manage medications, and coordinate discharge planning with physicians

3. Administrative Duties

  • Maintain accurate and timely documentation in the EMR system (NextGen EHR)
  • Review lab and pathology results and follow up with patients
  • Assist physicians with patient messages, prescription refills, and clinical support
  • Provide patient education and communicate test results


Schedule

  • 3 Days (approx. 24–27 hours): Outpatient clinic (well-woman exams, prenatal visits, gynecologic care)
    Office hours: 8:30 AM – 5:30 PM (includes 30-minute lunch)
    Monday and Friday are fixed; one weekday is flexible
  • 1 Half-Day (approx. 4–6 hours):
    Saturday hospital rounding on postpartum and post-operative patients (Flexible)
  • Administrative Time:
    Dedicated time for charting, lab follow-ups, and patient communication
Requirements:

Qualifications

  • Active Nurse Practitioner license (WHNP or FNP) in the state of New Jersey
  • BLS and ACLS certifications
  • Experience in women’s health, OB/GYN
  • Strong clinical, communication, and organizational skills
