Job Title: Nursery Assistant

About the Role
A creative, child-centered early years setting is looking for a fun, upbeat and highly experienced Nursery Assistant to join its team. The successful candidate will work closely with the Nursery Supervisor and lead educators to support daily routines and contribute to engaging, holistic and play-based learning experiences for young children.

Key Responsibilities

• Support the Nursery Supervisor in delivering high-quality early childhood care and education
• Assist in implementing age-appropriate lesson plans and learning activities.
• Supervise daily routines including meals, hygiene, rest times and transitions.
• Ensure classrooms and common areas are clean, safe and welcoming at all times.
• Observe and report on children’s development and behavior.
• Maintain positive and professional relationships with children, parents and colleagues.

Requirements

• CACHE Level 2 / certified vocational certificate in Early Childhood Care and Education (or equivalent).
• Minimum of 3 years experience in a nursery or similar early childhood setting.
• ECCE training (minimum 100 hours) is an advantage.
• Strong knowledge of child development and safety practices.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
• Warm, social and enthusiastic personality with a genuine passion for working with young children.
