Nursery Teacher

Job Summary

The Nursery Teacher is responsible for fostering a safe, nurturing, and stimulating environment for infants and toddlers (typically aged 6 weeks to 1 year). This role involves planning and implementing developmentally appropriate activities that promote children's physical, emotional, cognitive, and social growth, while maintaining effective communication with parents and working collaboratively with fellow staff members.

Key Responsibilities

  • Create a warm, responsive environment that supports the developmental needs of infants and toddlers.
  • Plan and implement age-appropriate activities that encourage sensory exploration, motor development, language acquisition, and social interaction.
  • Observe and assess children’s progress, documenting developmental milestones and identifying areas of concern.
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and organized classroom that meets health and safety standards.
  • Follow all center policies regarding child supervision, emergency procedures, and hygiene protocols (e.g., diapering, feeding, sanitizing toys).
  • Monitor and manage classroom supplies and materials.

Minimum Requirements:

- Must be at least 18 years of age.

- High school diploma or GED required.

- Willingness to complete a TB test and criminal background check before starting position.

- First aid and CPR certification

- SIDS certification

- Must be reliable, enthusiastic, and enjoy working with children.

Work Schedule:

- This position is full time.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $12.00 - $15.00 per hour
