Key Responsibilities

• Assist patients with activities of daily living (ADLs) such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and feeding
• Help patients move, transfer, or ambulate (e.g., bed to chair)
• Monitor and record vital signs (temperature, pulse, blood pressure, respiration)
• Support patients with toileting and hygiene needs
• Ensure patient comfort and safety at all times
• Assist nurses with basic clinical procedures
• Maintain cleanliness of patient rooms and equipment
• Observe and report changes in patient condition to nursing staff
• Provide emotional support and companionship to patients
• Transport patients within the facility (e.g., to tests or procedures)

Job Specifications

Education & Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Certificate in Patient Care Assistant / Nursing Assistant
• Basic Life Support (BLS) or CPR certification

Knowledge & Skills

• Basic understanding of patient care techniques
• Ability to measure and record vital signs accurately
• Knowledge of infection control and hygiene practices
• Good communication and interpersonal skills
• Physical ability to lift and move patients safely
• Time management and attention to detail

Experience

• At least 2 year experience
• Clinical training or internship is often preferred
