Job Summary/Basic Functions

LSU Health New Orleans School of Nursing is seeking a highly motivated individual to join our faculty as a school of nursing excellence within an academic health sciences center environment. Our nursing faculty have the opportunity to educate future nurses at the BSN, MN/MSN, PhD and DNP level, including state-of-the-art simulation laboratories; conduct nursing & interdisciplinary research; engage in faculty practice, including our nurse-run clinics; pursue entrepreneurial and consultative activities; and serve as a nursing leader and development of leadership skills through our Emergent Nurse Leader Program. Incumbent will be responsible for duties and responsibilities of Coordinator of Primary Care (FNP) Concentration.

Minimum Qualifications

Required Education: Doctorate

Other Education if applicable: Doctorate of Nursing Practice or PhD

Certifications or Licenses Required: Licensed or eligible for licensure in Louisiana as an Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (Licensure by Start Date), currently certified/re-certified as a Nurse Practitioner.

Number of years required to perform the job: Minimum of one year

Type of experience required to perform the job: clinical experience

Preferred Qualifications

Preferred Education: Doctorate

Preferred Discipline: Academic, Management Experience.

Preferred Experience: One year experience in a Primary Care Family Nurse Practitioner Program as a faculty member or administrator; Three years of clinical experience.
