The Illinois Department of Children and Family Services is seeking an organized, professional, and results oriented individual to serve as Nursing Manager. This position manages and advises nursing staff in geographically designated areas regarding policies and procedures pertaining to medically complex cases. The position performs analysis of complex medical reports, medical records, treatment modalities, and treatment application for children with special health care needs and psychiatric issues. This position will provide technical assistance and consultation to biological parents, foster parents, relative caregivers, or residential providers for children with high risk or complex medical needs. In addition, the position provides input to the Chief Nurse regarding the establishment and revision of statewide nursing protocols and Department policies and procedures. This position provides a great opportunity for a compassionate medical professional who is focused on ensuring that the children in care of DCFS receive the best health care possible.
