We are currently seeking a highly motivated and experienced MaineHealth employee to join our 18-bed Medical Surgical unit on P2C at Maine Medical Center, Portland.

The Nursing Unit Secretary role performs clerical, receptionist, and regulatory duties. This role has the responsibility for advanced unit involvement in projects and house-wide activities. Strong candidates for this position will possess excellent customer service skills, critical thinking skills, and the ability to communicate with team members, as well as patients and their families effectively.

Required Minimum Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSAs)

• Education: High School diploma or GED preferred.
• License/Certifications: Current BLS certification preferred or may be required based on location.
• Experience: Three years of secretarial experience with at least one year within MaineHealth required. Demonstrates competency in all essential functions of a Nursing Unit Secretary I role.
