Role Summary

The Operation Theater Intern will assist the OT team in maintaining a sterile environment, supporting surgical procedures, and gaining hands-on experience in OT protocols and patient care under the supervision of senior OT staff and surgeons.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist OT staff in preparation and maintenance of the operation theater
• Ensure cleanliness and sterilization of OT instruments and equipment
• Support pre-operative and post-operative patient shifting and care
• Assist in arranging surgical instruments, linen, and consumables
• Follow OT safety protocols, infection control practices, and hospital policies
• Help in maintaining OT records and checklists
• Observe and assist during surgical procedures as instructed
• Coordinate with doctors, nurses, and ward staff when required
• Maintain discipline, punctuality, and professionalism at all times

Eligibility / Qualification

• Students pursuing or completed:
• OT Technician Course
• Diploma in OT Technology
• B.Sc. Operation Theater Technology
• GNM / B.Sc Nursing (OT exposure preferred)
• Freshers and students seeking mandatory internship are welcome

Skills & Competencies

• Willingness to learn and follow instructions
• Basic knowledge of OT instruments and procedures (preferred)
• Good communication and teamwork skills
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and hygiene standards
• Physically fit to work in a hospital environment
