Occupational Safety & Health Asst. Manager (Jeddah & Riyadh)

Job Purpose Statement:


Maintain and ensure continually improve the Safety Management System (SMS) and Emergency Response Plan (ERP) in the assigned work location.



Roles & Responsibility:


  1. Conduct & Review HIRARC - Hazard Identification Risk Assessment and Risk Control) documents annually or when needed and keep the records up to date.
  2. Conduct periodical safety inspections for all for all places under the region such as Units, Ramp, Camp, and other areas & lounges.
  3. Assists in the continuing development and executes the internal evacuation plan.
  4. Ensuring compliance with relevant safety legislation.
  5. Organize the ISO45001:2018 internal, external Audit & corp. safety Inspection to ensure the compliance of standard requirement.
  6. Support units to maintain the GACA R151 Certification.
  7. Initiate, identify, and organize safety training of employees including supervisor & managers.
  8. Conduct monthly safety committee meeting & to communicate purpose & results of the meeting to all participants.
  9. Reviews and approves all subcontractors’ safety plans.
  10. Supervising the regional safety specialists.
  11. Organize the Drill in unit and camp, at least once a year.
  12. Record & report accident/incidents and participate investigated.
  13. Ensure PPE’s inventory and compliance.
  14. Ensure all equipment safety inspection is carried out as per the scheduled.
  15. All internal safety correspondence is replied timely.
  16. Verify the effective implementation of accidents and all Audit/Inspection findings corrective/preventive actions.
  17. Review regional monthly safety reports then prepare and send the consolidated report to be shared with management.
  18. Participate in internal, external meetings where safety is the main agenda.
  19. Keep the Sr, Safety Manager informed on all regional safety matters.
  20. Perform other job-related duties as assigned.
  21. Perform other duties related to the job and/or the operation of the company, in accordance to the regulations of the Saudi Labor of Law.
  22. Adherence to Cybersecurity policies and procedures.


Qualifications:


  • Bachelor’s degree in industrial safety Certification
  • 5 - 6 Years of experience in safety field
  • Critical Thinking - Using logic and reasoning to identify the strengths and weaknesses of alternative solutions.
  • Management of Personnel Resources - Motivating, developing, and directing people
  • Persuasion - Persuading others to change their minds or behaviour.
  • Quality Control Analysis - Conducting tests and inspections of products, services, or processes to evaluate quality or performance.
  • Customer and Personal Service - Knowledge of principles and processes for providing customer and personal services.
  • Education and Training - Knowledge of principles and methods for curriculum and training design, teaching and instruction for individuals and groups
