Caseloads are not guaranteed. Lighthouse Therapy asks that you be willing to work with 20 students per week. However, this does not guarantee that you will have referrals for 20 students. Even if you start at the beginning of the school year, it may take several weeks for referrals to come in and your caseload to build.

Schedule is set:

Tuesdays- 11:00-12:00pm and 1:30-2:00pm PST

Wednesdays- 3:30-4:00pm PST

Thursdays- 11:00-12:00pm PST

Fridays- 1:00-1:30pm and 3:30-4:00pm PST

and one other 30-min session that can fit any other time as agreed upon by the therapist and school.

Partial Caseload Clarification:

This opening is for individuals who want freedom and flexibility with their time and prefer to commit to a partial caseload.

Q - How does Lighthouse define caseload?

A - At Lighthouse Therapy, we define a "Student" as a child receiving service for 30 minutes once a week. So, a caseload of 20 students equals 10 hours of direct therapy time.

Q—What if I see students who require more time? What if I need to see a student for 30 minutes twice a week instead of once a week?

A—Under Lighthouse Therapy's caseload definition, "a student is a child receiving service for 30 minutes once a week." If you were to have a child receiving service for 30 minutes twice a week, then that child would count as two students.

Q—Why does Lighthouse Therapy discuss a time commitment in "Students" and not "Hours"?

A—At Lighthouse Therapy, everything we do is about our mission. We are laser-focused on helping students, and discussing time commitment in "Students" is one small way to keep the focus where it should be.

Q—Why does Lighthouse Therapy ask therapists to commit to a minimum caseload of 20 students?

A—At Lighthouse Therapy, we want happy and committed therapists. We've noticed that therapists are more committed when they agree to at least 20 students. This higher commitment often leads to stronger integration with client schools and more consistent referrals. Once Lighthouse began asking for this level of commitment, we witnessed a sharp decline in therapist turnover and dramatically higher therapist satisfaction on internal surveys.

About us

Established in 2018, Lighthouse Therapy is a company run by therapists, for therapists, for the betterment of students.

Before starting Lighthouse Therapy, our CEO and Speech-Language Pathologist, Janet Courtney, provided online therapy services for over six years and worked as a therapist for nearly twenty-five years. She saw first-hand the problems a company run by investors and businessmen can produce. Decisions were regularly made to improve the bottom line, negatively affecting therapists, schools, and, ultimately, the students. She knew a company's profits shouldn't come before a student's well-being. So, she founded Lighthouse Therapy (LHT).

Janet understands the nuances of conducting sessions online, so every decision made centers around helping our therapists and students become more successful.

Lighthouse Therapy is an equal opportunity employer, and all qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, pregnancy, age, national origin, disability status, genetic information, protected veteran status, or any other characteristic protected by law.
