OCI Cloud Operations Engineer- Riyadh, KSA

Job Overview:

DeepSource Technologies is looking for an OCI Cloud Operations Engineer to manage, optimize, and support Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) environments in Riyadh, KSA. The ideal candidate will possess in-depth knowledge of OCI services, cloud architecture, and best practices for cloud management and operations. This role requires a proactive, analytical problem solver who can ensure operational excellence and security in our cloud environments.

Key Responsibilities:

• OCI Management
• • Administer and manage Oracle Cloud Infrastructure environments, including provisioning, monitoring, and optimizing cloud resources.
  • Ensure high availability and disaster recovery for cloud-based applications and services.
  • Implement and manage OCI identity and access policies to ensure security and compliance.
• Performance Monitoring & Troubleshooting
• • Develop and implement monitoring solutions to proactively identify performance issues.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve OCI service issues, ensuring minimal downtime and disruption.
• Automation & Scripting
• • Utilize Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools to automate resource provisioning and management.
  • Develop scripts using Python, Terraform, or Ansible for automating routine tasks.
• Documentation & Reporting
• • Maintain accurate documentation of cloud architecture, resources, and operational procedures.
  • Generate reports and dashboards to provide insights into the performance and costs of cloud resources.
• Collaboration & Client Support
• • Engage with cross-functional teams to ensure cloud solutions align with business needs and operational requirements.
  • Provide technical support and guidance to clients regarding cloud-related challenges.
  
  

Requirements

• Education:
• • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
• Technical Expertise:
• • Strong experience with Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) services, including compute, networking, storage, and security services.
  • Proficient in OCI management tools and best practices.
  • Thorough understanding of networking concepts, including VPNs, VCNs, and security lists.
  • Hands-on experience with infrastructure automation using tools like Terraform, Ansible, or similar.
• Certifications:
• • Oracle Cloud certification (e.g., Oracle Cloud Infrastructure Architect Associate) is highly preferred.
• Experience:
• • 5+ years of experience in cloud operations, specifically with Oracle Cloud Infrastructure.
  • Experience in implementing and managing high-availability and disaster recovery solutions in OCI.
• Soft Skills:
• • Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with scripting languages such as Python or Bash for automation.
• Knowledge of container orchestration systems (e.g., Kubernetes) is a plus.
• Familiarity with ITIL practices for service management.
