About the Role

We’re looking for an Odoo Backend Developer to take full ownership of building and scaling Odoo at Partao. You’ll be responsible for laying the foundation - from configuring core modules and designing workflows to integrating Odoo with our broader tech stack (Python, SQL, Magento, APIs, AWS).

This is not just a maintenance role - you’ll actively shape how Odoo powers procurement, order management, and customer service as we scale. If you thrive on ownership, solving complex problems, and building clean systems from the ground up, this role is for you.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and customize Odoo backend modules (procurement, inventory, sales, customer service).
• Build and maintain integrations between Odoo and external systems (Magento, APIs, AWS).
• Implement scalable, reliable workflows in Odoo for sourcing, order management, and customer operations.
• Collaborate with operations, product, and engineering teams to define requirements and deliver solutions..
• Establish best practices, documentation, and technical standards for Odoo at Partao..
• Troubleshoot, debug, and continuously improve Odoo processes and performance.
• Act as the go-to Odoo expert as we expand our platform.

Requirements

• 5+ years of backend development experience, with hands-on Odoo module development.
• Strong skills in Python and SQL.
• Experience working with REST APIs and system integrations.
• Self-starter with strong problem-solving abilities; comfortable being the first dedicated Odoo engineer..
• Familiar with Git and modern development workflows.
• Good communication skills in English.
• Thrives in early-stage startup environments where priorities shift fast.

Bonus Points

• Experience connecting Odoo to eCommerce platforms (Magento, Shopify, etc.).
• Knowledge of AWS services (S3, Lambda, RDS).
• Containerization knowledge (Docker).
• Experience working in a marketplace, industrial/long-tail B2B environment, or sectors like construction, agriculture, or automotive
• Prior role in an early-stage startup with budget responsibility and autonomy
