Odoo Database Specialist

About the Role:

We are seeking an experienced Odoo Database Specialist to audit, repair, maintain, and optimize our Odoo ERP database environment. In this role, you will be responsible for identifying and resolving complex data integrity issues, repairing stuck transactions, optimizing database queries, and ensuring seamless integration across Odoo modules (Inventory, Accounting, Sales, Purchasing, and Logistics).

This is a specialized role suited for someone who deeply understands Odoo's relational data structure, PostgreSQL, and Odoo's functional business workflows to fix database errors safely without corrupting backend relational constraints.

Key Responsibilities:

- Audit, troubleshoot, and fix data inconsistencies, and transactional errors across core Odoo modules.

- Write, review, and optimize SQL queries, manage database locks, build indexes, and execute data cleanups safely.

- Fix stuck inventory transfers, mismatched journal entries, and broken stock valuation workflows.

- Monitor database query response times, identify performance bottlenecks, and implement server optimization.

- Resolve schema conflicts arising from app updates, custom modules, or migration scripst o preserve database integrity.

- Manage database dumps, restoration, automated backups, and emergency recovery protocols.

Requirements:

- 3+ years of hands-on experience maintaining, repairing, and managing Odoo ERP databases

- Strong technical proficiency in PostgreSQL, SQL scripting, database tuning, and Linux server environment basics.

- Deep knowledge of Odoo ORM, data model schemas, and relational dependencies across modules.

- Solid functional understanding of core business operations (Inventory, Accounting, Purchasing, Logistics) to ensure technical database fixes align with accounting logic.

- Familiar with Python scripting for automated data cleanup or migration tasks.
