Odoo Functional Consultant

We’re hiring an Odoo Functional Consultant with a strong accounting background to configurations, workshops, and UAT across Finance and adjacent modules. This role suits someone who’s already delivered end-to-end Odoo work for SMEs or mid-market clients.

Preferred Education:

CA / ACMA / ACCA (part- or fully-qualified) or B.Com (Hons) with solid command of GL, AP/AR, bank reconciliation, taxes, fixed assets, and month-end close.

What you’ll own:

· Translate business processes into Odoo flows.

· Configure Accounting (CoA, taxes/fiscal positions, journals, reconciliation models), and integrate with Sales, Purchase, Inventory (and HR/Expenses where needed).

· Drive data migration (masters, opening balances, inventory valuation) and ensure cut-over readiness.

· Prepare SOPs, BRDs, test cases; run UAT and sign-off.

· Train end users and super users; provide hyper-care post-go-live.

· Coordinate with technical team on gaps (custom fields, reports, automations).

· Track risks, assumptions, and changes; report status to stakeholders.

Must-have:

· 2–3 years hands-on Odoo functional experience (Community/Enterprise).

· Strong accounting fundamentals (double-entry, accruals, tax, fixed assets, multi-currency).

· Proficiency with CSV imports, data cleaning, and reconciliation.

· Clear documentation and stakeholder communication skills.

· Advanced Excel/Sheets (lookups, pivots) and comfort with project tools (Jira/ClickUp/Trello).

Nice-to-have:

· Localization experience (taxes/e-invoicing), Inventory valuation (FIFO/AVCO), landed costs.

· Reporting familiarity (Odoo spreadsheets etc.).

· Exposure to eCommerce/Website, Manufacturing, or Payroll.

· Odoo certifications or academies completed.
