SAP Technical Consultant

Overview:
The SAP Technical Consultant is responsible for designing, configuring, and optimizing SAP systems to meet business requirements. This role involves managing system setup, overseeing change transports, performing performance tuning, ensuring robust security and user management, and developing custom solutions using ABAP. The ideal candidate is skilled in technical design and logical problem-solving with strong communication abilities.

Key Responsibilities:
– Configure SAP systems to ensure optimal performance and alignment with business needs, including setup, tuning, and troubleshooting.
– Manage the transport of changes across development, testing, and production environments while maintaining system integrity.
– Diagnose and resolve performance issues using industry-standard tools and methodologies.
– Implement and monitor security measures to protect sensitive data and maintain system compliance.
– Oversee SAP user management, including the creation and administration of roles and authorizations.
– Design and document technical architectures for SAP implementations, making key decisions on system configuration and integration.
– Develop and maintain custom ABAP code, including reading from custom tables, processing data, and generating reporting outputs such as ALV reports.
– Utilize strong logical reasoning and problem-solving skills to address technical challenges and optimize system performance.
– Communicate effectively with technical teams and stakeholders, providing detailed explanations and documentation of SAP system enhancements.

Required Skills and Qualifications:
– Proficiency in SAP system configuration, transport management, performance tuning, security, and user management.
– Strong technical design skills with experience in architecting and implementing SAP solutions.
– Hands-on ABAP development experience, including the ability to produce and understand pseudocode for custom SAP programs.
