As part of our expanding ERP Division, we are looking for a dynamic and client-centric Pre-Sales Odoo Functional Consultant to lead high-impact demonstrations, requirements discovery, and solution design. The ideal candidate will blend technical knowledge with business insight to communicate Odoo’s value, define project scope, and support seamless transitions from proposal through implementation.
Role Overview
The Pre-Sales Odoo Functional Consultant will collaborate closely with the Business Development, Technical, and Implementation teams to analyze client needs, design tailored ERP solutions, and deliver compelling pre-sales presentations. This role requires strong expertise in Odoo’s functional capabilities, exceptional communication skills, and hands-on experience in full client engagement—from initial needs assessment to project delivery.
Key Responsibilities
- Engage with prospective clients to understand business objectives, challenges, and operational requirements.
- Lead discovery meetings, requirements-gathering sessions, and process analysis to identify suitable Odoo solutions.
- Prepare and deliver customized Odoo demonstrations that highlight relevant modules and address client pain points.
- Work with the sales team to develop proposals, functional documentation, and scope-of-work (SOW) for client approval.
- Map client business processes to Odoo functionalities and recommend configurations or minor customizations.
- Create project plans, functional blueprints, and detailed system requirement documents for implementation teams.
- Support bid responses, RFPs, and client presentations with accurate technical and commercial insights.
- Act as the functional liaison between sales, technical, and implementation teams to ensure project alignment.
- Participate in implementation phases by validating configurations, supporting UAT, and assisting during go-live.
- Maintain ongoing communication with clients and provide insights to refine proposals and enhance pre-sales processes.
- Stay updated on Odoo’s latest features, modules, and industry trends to offer best-practice recommendations.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.
- Minimum 5 years of hands-on experience as an Odoo Functional Consultant, including pre-sales and implementation exposure.
- Proven ability to conduct live demos, prepare functional proposals, and define project scope documents.
- Strong functional knowledge of Odoo modules such as Sales, CRM, Inventory, Accounting, HR, Project, Manufacturing, and Purchase.
- Excellent business process analysis and requirement-mapping skills.
- Outstanding English communication skills (verbal and written).
- Ability to translate technical concepts into clear business benefits for non-technical stakeholders.
- Experience with Odoo Community and Enterprise editions.
- Familiarity with RFP/RFQ preparation, project estimation, and solution pitching.
- Strong presentation, interpersonal, and relationship-building skills.
- Highly organized, detail-oriented, and capable of managing multiple tasks.
- Proficiency in preparing functional documentation, process flow diagrams, and user manuals.
