Of Counsel Attorney

Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and knowledgeable "Of Counsel Attorney" to join our legal team. This position compensation offer is 40% of billed and collected attorney fees. The ideal candidate should possess strong background experience in family law.

This role requires ability to handle a high case load, negotiation skills, legal research capabilities, and the ability to draft comprehensive legal documents. As an Attorney, you will provide expert legal advice and representation to clients while ensuring compliance with applicable laws and regulations.

Duties

• Provide legal counsel and representation in the area of family law.
• Conduct thorough legal research to support case preparation and strategy.
• Draft legal documents including settlement agreement, pleadings, motions, and briefs with precision and clarity.
• Negotiate settlements on behalf of clients in various legal matters.
• Represent clients in court proceedings and during administrative hearings.
• Maintain accurate records of case files and ensure all documentation is up to date.
• Ability to use and keep up with billing software as well as Microsoft applications.
• Work independently and collaborate with other attorneys and legal staff within the firm to provide comprehensive client service
• Stay informed about changes in laws and regulations that may affect clients’ cases.
• Willingness to meet personally with clients

Experience

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
• Admission to the The California State Bar and have good standing.
• Proven experience in the area of family law is preferred.
• Court Room Experience
• Strong negotiation skills.
• Exceptional writing skills for drafting legal documents and correspondence.
• Previous experience working in a law office or similar legal environment is advantageous.
