Herlihy Moving & Storage is currently looking to add an Office Administrative Assistant/Move Coordinator to our team. We are a local and long distance moving company affiliated with Mayflower, the most recognized name in moving and we have been family owned and operated for over 100 years. Responsibilities include:

  • Scheduling and coordinating moves with customers
  • Renting self-storage units
  • Type forms, form letters and other documents as necessary
  • Collate, scan and photocopy as required
  • Resolve customer issues in a timely and professional manner
  • Order and maintain office supply inventory
  • Invoice, receive & apply payments in QuickBooks
  • Maintain personnel files
  • Prepare payroll and submit to payroll company for final processing
  • Answer phones, screen calls, forwards calls, take messages and forward accordingly
  • General office management
  • Cross-train with other employees
  • 30-40 hours per week
  • 8 am to 4 pm

Requirements for this full time position include:

  • Accurate administrative skills
  • Must be organized and efficient
  • Dependable, punctual and professional
  • Ability to multi task
  • Pleasant phone manner
  • Adaptive team player
  • Professional self-presentation
  • Provide outstanding customer service & support
  • Ability to work with a diverse group of individuals
  • Experience with MS Word, Outlook, Excel and QuickBooks
  • Experience handling cash and deposits
  • Experience working in a small business setting preferred
  • Must pass background check
  • Reliable transportation
  • 2 years previous experience as an office administrative assistant preferred.
  • Admin experience in logistics, trucking, dispatch a plus.
