Office Assistant

Job Summary
Looking for an energetic and discreet Assistant in Tucson, AZ, where you will support the Episcopal Lead Pastor/Rector. This position offers an opportunity to contribute to a thriving environment, ensuring smooth communication, teamwork, and positive interactions with all office staff and congregation. Your proactive approach to many details, with enthusiasm and kindness, will help foster a collaborative, efficient atmosphere for the success of the Rector and this church community. This job will be hybrid, with a few hours weekly in person with the Rector and/or staff. This position will be supervised by the Rector. This person will not supervise other staff members, but will work together per need.

Responsibilities

  • Support and provide the rector excellent service for her daily operational tasks to ensure efficiency and accuracy across all teams. Logistical details including scheduling, email response, flyer preparation and printing, and other details.
  • Maintain organized records and documentation to support compliance and reporting needs
  • Collaborate with colleagues and lay leaders to identify opportunities for process improvements and implement solutions
  • Uphold safety protocols and company policies at all times to ensure a safe and secure work environment
  • Contribute to a positive team culture by demonstrating enthusiasm, reliability, and service to others
  • **Bonus to this job is to be proficient in Social Media platforms to support communication to the greater Tucson community

Requirements

  • Proven ability to communicate clearly and effectively in both verbal and written formats
  • Strong organizational skills with attention to detail, accuracy, and privacy
  • Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced setting
  • Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities and handle multiple tasks efficiently
  • Some prior experience in administrative support or related roles is preferred.
  • Basic proficiency with common office software (Google) or relevant tools
  • A proactive mindset with the motivation to learn

Job Type: Contract

Pay: $24.00 - $28.00 per hour

Expected hours: 6 – 8 per week
