Office Assistant

Job Summary

In this role you will be a forward-facing representative for the company. Responsible for maintaining a professional presence and displaying polished and respectful conduct. The Office Assistant will also provide support to the accounting team by maintaining day-to-day clerical and entry level accounting tasks, which help support the team to efficiently and accurately complete weekly, monthly and yearly functions.

Duties and responsibilities

  • Front window reception – assist employees and applicants and current employees with inquiries
  • Assist in management of check distribution system
  • Answer main phone line and answer general questions or transfer call to appropriate person
  • Scanning, filling, organization, and storage of all accounting documents
  • Help with cash receipt entries
  • Help Code & enter accounts payable for all harvesting, packaging, and cooling activity
  • Help Code & enter sales settlements for all harvesting activity
  • Assist with cost reporting on harvesting activity
  • Receive supply orders when delivered and keep supply room organized
  • Keep front window area clean and presentable
  • Assist accounting department as needed with any clerical help
  • Assist all departments as needed with administrative help

Qualifications

  • Computer proficient – Microsoft Office, 10-key, & typing
  • Bilingual - English & Spanish, high fluency or native level of Spanish required
  • Organization and maintaining accurate systems
  • Pay close attention to detail in all aspects of this job
  • Strong communication skills
  • Manage and complete multiple tasks accurately and by deadline
  • Work effectively as part of a team to achieve established outcomes

Work Environment/Physical Requirements

This position requires a high level of comfort working in an office environment.

Physical requirements

The employee will be required to sit for long periods of time and perform repetitive motions. Must also be able to occasionally lift or move items up to 25 lbs.

Office experience 1+ years
