Office Assistant

Overview: The role of the Office Assistant is primarily responsible for advancing the vision and mission of Zumbro Lutheran Church (ZLC) by welcoming all to the facility of ZLC, both in-person and virtually (on the phone or email), as well as administratively supporting the ministry of ZLC.

Responsibilities (include but not limited to):

1. Serve as receptionist: handling incoming telephone calls and greeting visitors to the office.

2. Serve as part of weekly hospitality ensuring groups' needs are met and preparing for events.

3. Provide administrative support for pastors, administrative and program staff (recurring weekly tasks to support Worship, Communications, and Children Youth and Family).

4. Perform regular maintenance and daily upkeep of database.

5. Assist with all mailings (quarterly statements, letters, etc.).

6. Support the Office Manager with the monthly maintenance of records, worship, senior worship facilities, journeying through grief, and other record maintenance as needed.

7. Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

1. A love and respect for people and passionate about being a team player.

2. Capable of handling, transporting, and organizing materials up to 20lbs and traversing stairs/multiple levels.

3. Effective oral and written communication skills.

4. Effective multitasker with proven organizational and office skills.

5. Proficiency in using email and other internet applications.

6. Experience with MS Office Suites (One Drive, SharePoint, Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint,

etc.)

7. Experience with database management desirable.

8. 2 or 4-year degree preferred.
