The Center for Arizona Policy (CAP) is a nonprofit organization advancing foundational principles of life, marriage and family, and religious freedom in Arizona. Our work influences policy, shapes culture, and equips communities.
We’re looking for someone who wants their daily work—every call answered, every detail handled—to contribute to something bigger than themselves.
What You’ll Do (and Why It Matters)
You are the front line. The first voice. The first face. The standard-setter.
- Welcome and direct all incoming communication (calls, visitors, inquiries) with professionalism and care
- Keep the office running smoothly—from mail and supplies to conference rooms and shared spaces
- Anticipate needs before they become problems (this is where great becomes exceptional)
- Support team operations and special projects, including events and organizational initiatives
- Step in where needed—IT basics, database support, administrative tasks—because the mission comes first
- Help maintain an environment that is organized, efficient, and excellent in every detail
This role touches everything. Done well, it makes everyone around you better.
Who You Are
Let’s not sugarcoat it—this role requires more than being “nice.”
You’re a fit if you are:
- Detail-obsessed – you notice what others miss and fix it before it becomes an issue
- Proactive – you don’t wait to be told what to do
- Organized and reliable – people trust you because you follow through
- Professional and personable – you can handle anyone, from donors to first-time callers
- Flexible and fast-moving – priorities shift, and you adjust without drama
- A problem-solver – not just a task-completer
Candidate Qualifications:
-
Minimum 2 years of administrative or office support experience
- College-level coursework (2+ years preferred)
- Strong skills in Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel
- Ability to manage multiple responsibilities with accuracy and efficiency
- Typing proficiency (60+ WPM preferred)
- Ability to lift up to 30 lbs. and assist with physical office needs as required
Faith & Mission Alignment (Non-Negotiable)
This is not just a job—it’s ministry through public policy.
- You are a committed Evangelical Christian, actively attending a Bible-believing church
- You align with CAP’s Statement of Faith and mission (see www.azpolicy.org)
- You are motivated to advance the principles of life, marriage and family, and religious freedom
Why CAP
