Role: Office Cleaner / Housekeeping
Staff Purpose: To maintain cleanliness, hygiene, and basic maintenance of all office areas, ensuring a clean, safe, and organized working environment.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Sweep, mop, and vacuum office floors, corridors, and staircases daily.
2. Brush and clean office carpets, rugs, and mats.
3. Clean and sanitize washrooms, refill soap, tissues, and check sanitary items regularly.
4. Dust and clean office furniture: desks, chairs, tables, shelves.
5. Dust and clean computers, monitors, keyboards, telephones, printers, and other office equipment (careful handling).
6. Clean windows, glass doors, partitions, and mirrors to remove dust, fingerprints, and smudges.
7. Empty and dispose trash bins, segregate garbage (wet/dry), and maintain recycling protocols.
8. Maintain canteen/tea area: clean surfaces, utensils, tables, and chairs, refill supplies.
9. Assist in pantry maintenance, including cleaning kitchen appliances, fridge, and counter surfaces.
10. Monitor and operate water pumps/motors as required for office water supply.
11. Check and report any minor maintenance issues (leaks, broken bulbs, taps, minor electrical issues) to Team Lead.
12. Maintain plants in the office, water them, and report any plant/soil replacement needs.
13. Conduct periodic deep cleaning tasks: floor waxing, polishing, scrubbing tiles, and stair cleaning.
14. Assist with fumigation, pest control, termite treatment, or other seasonal maintenance.
15. Ensure emergency exits, fire extinguishers, and safety signage are accessible and clean.
16. Maintain cleanliness in conference/meeting rooms, including setting up tables/chairs, wiping surfaces, and arranging stationery.
17. Clean the reception area and lobby daily to maintain a welcoming environment for visitors.
18. Clean storage areas, server rooms, and utility rooms without disturbing sensitive equipment.
19. Maintain cleanliness of office corridors, lifts, and common areas regularly.
20. Assist in special events or VIP visits by preparing the office area, arranging furniture, and ensuring a spotless environment.
21. Follow office hygiene standards and safety procedures at all times.
22. Report to the team lead daily about completed tasks, supplies needed, and any issues requiring attention.
23. Take initiative to maintain cleanliness and order when supervisors or colleagues are unavailable.
